  The beginning of once in a lifetime journey begins. After breakfast, we will be starting our transfer journey on vehicles from Leh to Kargil visiting important sights like PATHAR SAHIB GURUDWARA / HALL OF FAME / SANGAM / MAGNETIC HILL. On arrival at KARGIL, we check into our rooms & post some rest begin the process of bicycle assembly to get them ready for the journey. In the evening all shall Hop on Bicycles for a Kargil city tour & site visit. Early return to the hotel we have riders meet & post dinner all move to rest to get ready for the journey of lifetime.

The Day of Cycling Journey begins from Kargil to Parkachik, a Village in Taisuru Block in Kargil District of Jammu & Kashmir State, India. It is located towards South from District head quarters Kargil. The Road to Parkachik from Kargil is a Green view on your left & right of the journey. The whole ride on the bicycle from Kargil to destination is around suru river. It is a tiny village with a stunning view of Nun peak — the largest peak of Jammu Kashmir. Parkachik is surrounded by Glacier, Nun Peak Summit base camp, Hot Sprint bathing, Meadows walk & much more.

Camping Stay @ Statso/Langtso Lake

After spending the night at Parkachik, get ready for cycling towards Pensi La Pass. It is a mountain pass in the Ladakh union territory of India, which is known as the Gateway to Zanskar. Pensi La is 4,400 meters above sea level and connects the Suru Valley region to the Zanskar Valley region. Lushed with high mountains and rivers on both sides. The Drang-Drung Glacier to the eastern flank of Pensi La is the source of the Stod or Doda River which flows into the Padum Valley and joins with Tsarap Chu to form the mighty Zanskar River.

Padum is a town named after Padmasambhava. It is the only town and administrative center in Zanskar. It was historically one of the two main capitals of the Zanskar Kingdom, The Journey of Cycling from Pensi-la pass to Padum is an amazing day time on wheels. After a ride of the day with 78km, the riders get to stay at Padum to explore the city & surroundings.

• Hotel Stay @ PADUM

  Altitude : 3669 mtr

  This shall be a full day off from cycling, all riders shall be free to explore the beautiful city Padum, having many exciting destinations to explore. The city Padum has a lot to walk around & capture beautiful clicks for a memorable tour. A number of notable Buddhist monasteries are located near Padum including Bardan Monastery and Kursha Monastery and the newly built Dalai Lama Photang.

Cycling 51 km

Pass 2 : Cha Pass

Altitude : 3950mtr

Duration 8-10 Hours

This day shall also be a short-distance ride for riders, but the best part of the day is that riders shall be covering 50% of rides towards downward and tough roads. Riders shall also come across the CHA pass before reaching PURNE.

Altitude : 3950mtr

A day off from Cycling to visit the Monasteries established from Centuries in the caves. A trek to near by sites & rest day. This shall be the day we all have been waiting to visit Phutkal Monastery along blue water river making all trek 3km from stay station.

Stay @ Camping

Altitude: 4600 meter

Duration 8-9 Hours

Get excited to cycle towards your destination. This is the last day of your Cycling Expedition in Zanskar Valley. On the way, the barren lands will start disappearing and you will see the roads getting covered with flora and fauna again. Riders shall also have a halt on way to witness the most sacred mountain of the Buddhist community known as GONBO RANGJON.

Keylong Stay @ Hotel

Cycling 71 km,

Pass 3 : Shinku La pass

Altitude: 3080 meter

Duration 7-8 Hours

After an early breakfast, we leave for Keylong via crossing the last pass of Singe Laa, The journey of Zanskar Valley of J&K comes to an end, welcoming riders back to Himachal Pradesh. Reaching Keylong we shall all get together & celebrate an evening of a successful journey of a lifetime distributing the certificates of success.

Cycling 70 km,

Duration 7-8 Hours

Last day of Pedaling of the Journey. We shall be moving toward Manali via Atal Tunnel for another experience for Riders pedaling on the Highest Tunnel in India. On reaching Manali rider’s bicycle shall be washed & packed. Volvo from Manali to Delhi shall depart in the evening. Riders can change & go for a city tour & shopping before departures. Any rider willing to stay back has to manage to book accordingly.
